Expectations are high for the international transport of pleasure boats in Brazil in 2023. Santa Catarina ended 2022 with more than 20 million dollars in exports considering the category of pleasure boats, the state with the highest movement. One of the leaders in this segment is BR PARTNERS, the company has been establishing itself in the project cargo market for 13 years. In 2022, BRP sponsored the Salão Náutico da Marina de Itajaí, the largest event in the segment in the south of the country.

In the first month of the year, a magnificent Yacht will be delivered to Fort Lauderdale, manufactured in the Itajaí Valley, measuring 20.37 meters in length, 5.15 meters in width and 5.90 meters in height. Weighing in at 33 tonnes, it is truly impressive to see it being loaded onto the ship. The 660 is being transported from Navegantes and is the biggest project cargo by BR PARTNERS until today.

“Our state is a leader in several segments, but yachts are undoubtedly a bet for 2023. The main shipyards in the country are headquartered in Itajaí and the city has become a reference in the sector.” Comments Jonas Pelegrini, CEO of BR Partners.

“The challenge is always to meet the needs of our customers, who are increasingly looking for larger, more sophisticated boats. The transport of a yacht is a delicate process, and it is necessary to guarantee the safety of the product, which often has a high added value.” Jonah continued. “The growth in demand encourages not only the production and logistics areas, but also the demand for professionals specialized in loading project cargo.”

The city of Itajaí leads the list of exporters, being responsible for more than 95% of exports made in 2022. It is expected that in 2023 both the participation of Santa Catarina and the total revenue of the segment will be surpassed.
