One carbon credit represents one tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) that is not emitted into the atmosphere, thanks to carbon saving technology, reforestation and forest conservation practices that impede greenhouse gas emissions.
More that 1.6 million hectares of the Amazon Rainforest is conserved through REDD+ projects and Carbonext accompanies local conditions and work generation, sustainable-agriculture technical training, fire safety and the dissemination of forest conservation practices. The projects have social and environmental objectives; benefitting the local population, flora and fauna and neutralising almost 14 million tonnes of carbon. All of the projects are verified according to the VCS international standards of the Verra organisation.
Today, we have already compensated carbon related to the CO2 generated by our office and through this system, we are able to calculate the carbon emissions generated by the international transport of goods.
Through Green Move, we will offer our clients the opportunity to commit to this movement and to contribute to the future of our planet!
From today, our transport quotations will include the carbon credit value necessary to neutralise the carbon that will be emitted-based on route, mode and other information.
Upon credit purchase confirmation, you will receive a monthly certificate from our partner, Carbonext.
You will also be able to use the carbon neutral company seal. Our objective is to make sustainability a viable option for our clients, on a non-profit basis; because we believe that there is no bigger compensation than a better world for our children.
